Ebay Fun

I collected baseball cards as a child. It was probably for the piece of gum that came with the cards.

Anyway, I have recently been attending a financial class based on literature from Dave Ramsey. One of the things the class talks about is how to make money by selling things in your home that you do not necessarily need.

So, I looked around the house and decided it was time to sell some of my baseball cards.

I created an eBay account and followed the instructions and within minutes I was hosting an auction for a Roberto Clemente card. Clemente was one of my favorite baseball players. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, my hometown team as a child.

Anyway, the auction lasted 7 days. When the deadline approached, people really started to bid. It was exciting seeing the bids go back and forth.

Finally, there was a winner.

The ironic part of the whole experience was that the high bidder was someone from an area where my mom lives. A town called Carnegie Pa. Which coincidentally, is where Honus Wagner was born. Honus Wagner is most famous for having the most expensive baseball card that there has ever been.
